Amid hike in gas imports, LNG terminal utilisation rises to 56% in Apr-Nov

India’s LNG import terminals saw increased capacity utilisation, with average usage rising from 50% to 56% in April-November, driven by a 21% growth in LNG imports. Petronet LNG’s terminal at Dahej reached 102% utilisation. Despite some terminals operating below 25%, plans are underway to add 20 mtpa capacity in anticipation of higher future gas demand.
