JSW Energy has acquired the bankrupt KSK Mahanadi Power Company for ₹15,985 crore, outbidding Adani Power and NTPC. The acquisition includes a 3,600 MW thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh. This deal increases JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity to 28.2 GW, moving closer to its 20 GW target before 2030.
