India's most populous state looks to privatise two power distribution firms

Uttar Pradesh aims to privatise two of its power distribution companies to address power losses and outdated infrastructure. The state invites private investments for Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam and Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, each serving 21 districts. This move follows similar partnerships in Delhi and Odisha, involving Tata Power.
