About 29,200 MW thermal capacity under construction in India: MoS Shripad Naik

India is currently installing 29,200 MW of thermal capacity and planning an additional 51,520 MW. The goal is to reach a power generation capacity of 777.14 GW by 2029-30. Numerous projects, including hydroelectric and nuclear, are also under construction or planning to increase the country’s power infrastructure by 2031-32.
